Daniil Koshelev is Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Elvinix. He leads corporate strategy and the advancement of the company’s regenerative program for type 1 diabetes.

Daniil’s work in T1D has focused on translating complex scientific research into a coherent and executable therapeutic program. Working closely with leading scientists, clinicians and drug-development experts, he has shaped Elvinix’s therapeutic strategy, preclinical development, clinical plan, intellectual property position and engagement with investors and partners.

Before entering therapeutic biotechnology, Daniil worked in international strategy consulting at Roland Berger and held executive leadership roles, including six years as chief executive of a biotechnology health and food-ingredients company. He holds an MSc in Finance and Economics from the Warwick Business School and has co-authored peer-reviewed publications spanning disease mechanisms, preclinical development and clinical translation.

Lucy Kosheleva is Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Elvinix, where she leads scientific strategy, therapeutic hypothesis development and translational research for the company’s type 1 diabetes program.

Lucy is first author of a comprehensive review of disease-modifying pharmacological treatments for T1D published in Pharmacological Reviews and has co-authored work spanning molecular disease mechanisms, preclinical therapeutic development and clinical translation. Her work integrates β-cell biology, immunology and intracellular signaling to identify combinations capable of changing disease progression and restoring endogenous insulin production. Lucy holds an LLB and LLM from the University of Warwick and transitioned into biomedical research after an earlier entrepreneurial career.

Mike Teiler is a pharmaceutical executive and consultant with more than 35 years of experience across research and development, portfolio management, product introduction, launch and business development. At Elvinix, he supports pharmaceutical strategy and the practical advancement of the company’s lead program.

His senior roles have included Vice President of R&D for Teva International Group, Group Vice President of Portfolio Management at Taro and Vice President of Project Management at Sun Pharma. He has built and led global portfolio and project-management functions spanning ideation through launch, and now advises biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies on efficient product development. He holds a BPharm from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Eric Dutcher brings more than two decades of finance, fundraising and operational leadership to Elvinix. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Advanced Group and Advanced Clinical and has contributed to capital raises and recapitalizations totaling more than $11 billion across his career.

Living with adult-onset type 1 diabetes, Eric also brings a direct understanding of the daily burden of the disease and a strong connection to the diabetes community. He holds an MBA from Texas Tech University and a BS in Business Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.

Dr Alex Rabinovitch is a pioneer of β-cell regeneration research and the scientific foundation on which Elvinix is built. Across appointments at the University of Miami, the University of Alberta and Sanford Research, his work helped establish the regenerative role of gastrin signaling and the complementary activity of gastrin and GLP-1 in restoring functional β-cell mass in preclinical models of type 1 diabetes.

Dr Rabinovitch’s laboratory demonstrated β-cell regeneration in animal and human-islet systems and developed the scientific rationale that ultimately informed the dual-receptor agonist platform licensed by Elvinix. Dr Rabinovitch previously directed the Sanford Project to Cure Type 1 Diabetes, and his work has been supported and recognized by leading diabetes organizations over more than three decades.

Dr Jay Skyler is an internationally recognized leader in type 1 diabetes clinical research. At the University of Miami, he has held senior roles across endocrinology, the Diabetes Research Institute and programs focused on immunomodulation and tolerance.

Dr Skyler chaired the NIH-sponsored Diabetes Prevention Trial-Type 1 and Type 1 Diabetes TrialNet for more than two decades and has served in leadership positions across major international T1D initiatives. At Elvinix, his deep understanding of clinical translation has helped shape the program’s treatment strategy, clinical development approach and path from preclinical evidence toward patient studies.

Dr Skyler also brings extensive public-company board experience, including long service at DexCom and previous directorships at MiniMed and Amylin Pharmaceuticals. He is a former President of the American Diabetes Association and former Vice President of the International Diabetes Federation.

Dr Zan Fleming is an endocrinologist, former senior FDA regulator and founder of Kinexum. During his career at the US Food and Drug Administration, he was responsible for therapeutic areas including diabetes, endocrine and metabolic disease and led reviews of landmark approvals spanning metformin, insulin analogs, statins and other major therapies.

Dr Fleming has contributed to regulatory policy, Good Review Practice and international clinical-development standards, including work with the World Health Organization and the International Council for Harmonization. At Elvinix, he has helped shape the company’s regulatory and clinical development strategy, drawing on deep experience in metabolic drug development and translating novel therapeutic concepts into clinical programs.

Amos Anatot is a global executive and board director with extensive experience in pharmaceutical operations, supply chain, commercial strategy and corporate governance. He spent nearly two decades at Teva Pharmaceuticals in senior European and technology roles before serving as Executive Vice President of Global Operations and Supply Chain at Frutarom and later as President following its acquisition by International Flavors & Fragrances.

He currently serves on several company boards and holds a BSc in Industrial and Management Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.

Dr Susan Bonner-Weir helped establish that adult β-cell mass is dynamic, producing the first compelling evidence that it can increase in response to metabolic demand through both replication and the formation of new cells. Senior Investigator at Joslin Diabetes Center and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, she has spent more than four decades studying β-cell biology, regeneration and adaptation.

Her laboratory also produced seminal evidence that adult pancreatic ducts can give rise to new islet cells. In the Joslin 50-Year Medalist Study, she co-authored research identifying insulin-positive β-cells in all 68 postmortem pancreases examined from people who had lived with type 1 diabetes for at least 50 years. An elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, she has published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers.

Professor Daniel Kaufman is a scientific advisor to Elvinix and a professor in UCLA’s Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology. His research spans immunology, autoimmunity, neuroscience and the development of new immunotherapeutic strategies.

Over more than two decades, his work has examined mechanisms of immune regulation in autoimmune disease and the development of approaches that suppress inflammatory responses while enhancing regulatory immunity. His expertise supports Elvinix’s work at the intersection of β-cell restoration and immune protection.

Dr Jason Gaglia is a physician-scientist and translational medicine expert with more than two decades of experience in type 1 diabetes immunology, clinical trials and regenerative medicine. At Elvinix, he advises on clinical-development strategy for the company’s T1D program.

He previously served as Vice President of Clinical Science at Semma Therapeutics and continued in a clinical-development role following its acquisition by Vertex Pharmaceuticals, supporting stem-cell-derived islet programs in T1D. Dr Gaglia also holds leadership roles at Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard Medical School and continues to practice as an endocrinologist. He earned his MD through the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program and an MMSc through Harvard’s Clinical Investigator Training Program.

Dr Keld Fosgerau is a peptide-drug development leader with more than 25 years of experience from target discovery through early clinical development. He was part of the team that developed Zealand Pharma’s GLP-1/gastrin program and now advises Elvinix on pharmacology and peptide development strategy.

Keld has held senior positions including Senior Vice President and Head of Research at Zealand Pharma, Vice President at Novo Nordisk and Chief Scientific Officer at Gubra. Across his career he has contributed to multiple clinical candidates, patent applications and peer-reviewed publications. He is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pephexia Therapeutics.

Margery Fischbein advises Elvinix on financing, capital markets and strategic transactions. She is a senior healthcare investment banker with experience advising biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical-technology companies on financings, licensing, mergers and acquisitions.

Her career has included leadership positions at Cassel Salpeter, Seaport Global, FBR, JMP Securities, Human Genome Sciences, ImClone Systems, Lehman Brothers, Chase Manhattan and Citigroup. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.

Dr Yafit Stark is a clinical-development advisor with extensive experience building global clinical programs and advancing innovative therapies. During a long career at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, she established and led clinical-development capabilities within Innovative R&D and contributed to the development of major products including Copaxone and Azilect.

She has also helped establish new clinical therapeutic areas and advance emerging technologies into human studies. Dr Stark holds a PhD in Pathology from Tel Aviv University.
